The male is 44 ~ 66cm in length and 930 ~ 1800g in weight. The male is brightly colored with a black crest on the head and fleshy cobalt-blue horns on either side, hence the name 'Tragopan' . There was a fleshy skirt, of brilliant colour, with bare cheeks, revealing azure skin, a reddish-orange head and neck at the back and upper breast, and a brownish-yellow tail feather. The rest of the plumage is deep chestnut red, covered with gray eye spots. Feet Pink. Back gray-brown, abdomen light yellow, are full of black stripes and white spots. Omnivorous, mainly trees, shrubs, bamboo, herbaceous plant and fern buds, tender leaves, green leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds for food, and eat a small number of animal food. More common in the survey area, or can be judged by the song.
